Help selling a friend's High-Standard

I have a friend who wants help selling his guns. One is a Browning High Standard Supermatic Trophy Model 102. It is in pretty good condition (minimal wear), works great and has the barrel weight and muzzle break. It is a Hamden made model. I've been seeing prices all over the place from $350 to $1800. What is a good actual price?

High Standard made some good stuff. Since the one you mention is from Camden, I imagine it would fall into the 'good stuff' catagory.

Value is subjective. A Bullseye or ISU competitor of today would buy a more precise tool. Ex-Bullseye competitors who are into their 'geezerhood' years would love to have it (me), if, for nothing else, nostalga and shaking hands with an old friend.

Use your Google-Fu. Wide swing in asking prices. What they sell for though, could be way different than published asking price.

Photos would help.

"Wide swing" in prices is an understatment. The 2009 Guide to Modern Gun Prices (at my library) says $350, but I've seen the exact model get bids just over $1k on online sites.

Think '65 Pontiac GTO. Not real competitive by today's speed standards, but in high demand.
