Odd side hammer CVA

I came across a .45 cal. cva sidehammer rifle. By side hammer, i mean the hammer is on the right side and swings horizontally to the nipple. Kind of like an underhammer, but on the side, if you follow me.

It's a nice, light, little carbine but I know nothing about CVA. Anyone with experience know anything about this rifle? thought it might be fun for rabbit hunting.

thanks in advance.

From your description it sounds like a Mule Ear, sometimes called a 'side-slapper'. Didn't know CVA had made one. Any photos?

This is my Navy Arms/Pedersoli mule ear lock which is a light weight half-stock carbine that was made with .32, .36, .45 & .50 rifled barrels.
What caliber is yours?
Is the barrel rifled?
I haven't heard of CVA making one before so I'm curious for more details about how old it looks, its condition and any identifying marks indicating if it was made in the U.S or Spain?

Also known as a mule-ear.

It's at a shop

I'll try to get another look at it this week.

Also, try to get some fotos.

BP season is on here, but I doubt anyone will snap up a .45.
