Remington 58 - removal of the pistol grip cap
I need to remove the plastic pistol grip cap from a Remington Sportsman Model 58. I don't mind damaging the stock to do so.
Anyone have experience on how to remove the plastic pistol grip cap without breaking it? I'm not sure if it is just glued on, or if a portion of the cap extends into the wood grip. |

Could be glued on, but I doubt it. Probably a hidden screw. Don't remember the make, but I had to do a refinish job on a shotgun and there was a medallion of the maker in the center of the cap that had to be lifted off (glued) and the screw was under there. Hope this helps. Goatwhiskers
