k98 with ss markings
Hi all,
I just recieved a k98 in pretty good shape. I looked it over pretty closely an there are tiny lightning bolts next to a "2" over a tiny skull and cross bones. I understand that there are a number of fakes out there. Is there anyway to authenticate this as an SS weapon? It's a BFY 41. Thanks. |

Post pics here or even better at ...
http://forums.gunboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=6 The guys on the K98 forum there are incredibly knowledgeable about K98s and their variants. Im paticular the mod on that forum "Hambone" and another member who specializes in SS marked rifles, by the name of "ScottB". They will give it to you "straight no chaser" regarding the authenticity of your rifle. |

Thanks Darren. I posted my question there. It would be nice if it was authentic. It wasn't represented as an SS rifle, so who knows.
