I have had the best luck with SWC.

The 230 shoots ok but my best accuracy comes from 200 grain swc in front of WST.

I find that if you are competition shooting / paper punching, then the SWC cuts cleaner holes to give an undeniable score reading. Using 230 gn Round Nose tears the paper, and you may be able to obtain a higher score that way,(if no-one uses a scoring plug). I only use SWC for all of my loads.

SWCs work best for me in light target loads. I do use 230gr LRN for a cheap full power practice load. Different bullets with different applications.

FACT : only way to tell is in your gun.

I have better results using 200g LSWC in my 1911, but my EAA Witness seems to shoot every bullet well (just doesn't feed them reliably).
