Need a question answered before I order
I Just picked up my new Tikka in 300Win Mag and want to scope it. I've called over a dozen gunshops looking for the Optilock base and ring system for Tikka rifles, without any luck. I don't want to order a set without first sizing for height clearance.
There is a poster on this board who mounted a Pentax 3-9x43mm with Optilock "lows" on his Tikka and had about 1/4 inch clearance. If I knew the outside diameter of the objective bell on a Pentax 3-9x43mm scope, I'd be able to determine if the 66mm diameter of my scope, with Butler Creek's, would fit. I've emailed the member, but he hasn't got back to me yet. If anyone can tell me the diameter of the Pentax, I'd sure appreciate it. Thanks. |

Would it be 43mm or is that the diameter of the lens?
