30-06 Gun ID

My step mom hasa 30-06 her Dad left her. It shows to be a "Udenel Lorenz". Does anyone know anything about these guns?

The name means nothing to me and neither my sources or a Google search turn up anything. Could you provide more information, like any other markings, a good description or pictures. The name could be German, and many German gunsmiths converted Mauser military rifles to sporter rifles for American servicemen after both WWI and WWII. If your step-mother's father was in Germany after WWII, it would suggest that possibility.
