I was considering having Hans Vang do his VangComp/Port job on my Matrine Magnum. Hans says that the stock bore is not ( to his knowledge ) chrome plated. I was wondering if anyone might know if it indeed is. If so, would the VangComp work (which would of course remove any existing plating ) make it harder to clean and maintain the weapon?
Thanks, Ben |

Bennet, I can't find anything to say whether it is or isn't but I would agree with Hans. I don't believe I've ever seen a Remington with a plated bore. George
