45 ACP Recipe Needed

Looking for a 255 gr SWC 45 ACP load using W231.

I'm planning on using this for pins through my 625.
I've heard 5.0 gr would work but I haven't tried anything yet.

Thank you

Good information.

That very load has worked well for me in a 1917 S&W. I went a bit warmer, using Unique, also.

While that particular load wouldn't hurt a .45 auto, I like to load the special purpose stuff in Auto Rim cases, to preclude use in a 1911. Certainly, the ACP cases in moon clips (half or full) are quicker on the reloads . . .

Best,

45 ACP Recipe for a 255 grain

45 ACP Recipe for a 255 grain.
Try the 5.0 Grains of UNIQUE.
I can tell you from experience with it that 6.0 grains is MAX and want's to take your arm off.
