I recently purchased a Kimber Model 1911, I find the grip to be too narrow for my hand. Any suggestions for a "beefier" grip???

It is not very pretty, but the Hogue rubber grip with finger wraps will provide a larger grip for you. You can buy them through different online stores including www.ajaxgrips.com. Good luck.

Does your Kimber have a straight mainspring housing? Sometimes changing to an arched housing or Ed Brown's wedge design can make all the difference in the world.

The Hogue grip is most excellent. While not as sexy as a nicely marbled piece of exotic wood - it Feels good in the hand.
I recomend them highly. In fact - a single stack 1911 with the Hogue feels better in my hand than any other pistol out there.
