Has anybody had and experinece with them? I compared the 6x18x42wo ,6.5x20x44 mag, bushnell banner 6x18x50 and the tasco 6x24x40 world class. the expedition was heaver and seem to have better optics. I.m looking for a scope to put on a .243 to varmint hunt and can't afford a $500.00 scope now . Any thoughts on these or on bsa scopes?

thanks

I just installed a Simmons Whitetail Classic, 6.5X20X50mm AO scope on my Bush Shorty. I previously had used a much more expensive Simmons scope, the 6X20X44mm Gold Metal Sil. The El Cheapo Whitetail seems to be pretty bright and clear. After sighting the scope in today, I shot some pretty small groups. Bear in mind, of course, that this scope doesn't have target knobs and has a truplex reticle, as opposed to target dot or crosshairs.
