My only Glock is a 2nd gen model 20. I like it for a lightweight woods gun. I don't think I would mind have a model 19 or 23 (or both). I have other guns in 9mm and 40 so I just haven't put a priority on buying the Glocks.
So many guns . . . so little money . . .

I currently own the 26(CCW), 30(home and woods), and 34(duty). I previously had a 19 and 22. I've been carrying Glocks for years. I've tried bunches of other handguns over the years and I just keep going back to Glock. They work! I've had many frustrations over the years with other makes and models. Right now I'm stuck on Glock, Hk, and Walther.
The Glock 30 is a fantastic .45. I've owned, fired and been issued many 1911's over the years and none have been as reliable as the Glock. One range visit I had access to an entire table of custom 1911's for me to test. Nearly all of them had issues with JHP. I heard excuse after excuse, in the meantime the Glock 30 kept chugging away. The 30 eats everything. It is currently my home and woods gun. I did a internals polish, connector swap, and upgraded the slide and mag releases. It is very accurate and reliable. It's got lots of external wear from use and probably looks ugly to other people. I won't part with it. I have a buddy who was a head range instructor that was not so fond of Glocks. He shot the 30 and was very suprised by the low recoil, trigger feel and accuracy. |

I don't particularly like any of them but the 19-23-29-30 are a very useful size platform and to me, make the most sense.

The Glock I carry is the G36; small gun, big caliber, easy to handle and fun to shoot. BTW it's the only Glock I have so far.......
I've been moving to the smaller guns. My first handgun was the Ruger GP100 revolver in .357 Magnum. Since then, the S & W Bodyguard 380 and the Glock 36. Just like the smaller guns and have no desire for the big cannons. Just my personal tastes, nothing against full size.....

Own a G23 (40 S&W). Sweet shooting machine. Tricked out my trigger too. Very nice!

I was reading a review of the Guncrafters .50 G.I. conversion for the Glock 20 or 21, and thought that might be kind of fun. I'm a fan of both the .45 ACP and 10mm, and an easy conversion to another caliber would make the package more attractive.

G19, G27 and G36. All great firearms and I'd have no reservation recommending any of them.

G33. Yeah it's blocking and such but for holster carry it's just as easy as a 380 232/Ppks or J frame 38spl. Comparing the 33/27/26 to a G23 or G32 it's not that much smaller. I've been giving serious thought to getting one.

Saturday I bought my first Glock, a 22 gen 2 LE trade in. So far its primary duty is home defense, probably not CCW.

any of they ever make one in a Caliber I use... 45/70. 357 mag, 12ga, 17HMR
if they ever make a Glock in one of these calibers ill buy one. I think they are great guns but I am not going to add any more calibers to my arsenal unless it is 50BMG.

Unfortunately none of them. They are great on paper but I just don't feel comfortable with the grip angle.

Thanks for your opinions!
And while I do respect that we all have a right to our own opinions, I do wish everybody would read the original post. I own and carry a 9mm baby Glock everyday, that's my primary sidearm for ccw. I think for my next Glock, I'm going to give either the 27, the 30, or maybe even the 29 a go at it. For home defense, I'll stay with the 9mm and upgrade to the 19, the 17, or the 34. I'm really leaning heavily towards the 19, though as holds 15 rounds, has a light rail, and is still suitable for ccw work, given the right holster.

I'm sorta picky on Glocks, perhaps, but I've tried just enough to know what I like and don't like.
Started with a baby Glock (G27), but didn't like the short grip much, and for it's small size, it was still thick enough to make it tough for very discrete carry. Traded it off for a S&W J-frame several years ago. Later I tried a gen 2 G20 that I bought from a friend. Great gun, but a little too big for my medium paws. Sold that one to another buddy who has huge hands, and he loves it. Then when I'd about given up on Glocks, I tried a gen3 G23. The gun fits my hand like it was custom made for it, and points as naturally as a finger. This one I carry often, and it's doubtful that I'll ever sell or trade it off. Yes, it's still just as thick, and therfore as hard to hide as the G27, but I still have the J-frame to cover that need. The 23 is easy enough to hide with a cover garment, and fits my hand far better than the short grip on the 27. So I'd probably own/carry any of the "compact" models without much complaint. I prefer the .40S&W over the 9mm or .357 sig though, and methinks the G29 may have a grip diameter similar to the G20. If so, I'm not really interested in it. Daryl |

I just traded my Smith & Wesson M&P9c for a Glock 23. I'm planning on carrying it IWB, appendix if I can hide it well enough. I was able to make the m&p disappear carrying it that way (I'm 6'4", 220lbs). Although the Glock 23 is slightly longer and taller, it is thinner (by .02" to be exact ) so hopefully I'll be able to manage it. If I can't pull that off I might have to try out an M-Tac or Crossbreed and carry around 4:00 or 5:00. I had been using a High Noon Hidden Ally carried at 1:00. If worse comes to worst, I might look into modding the Glock's grip so it can accept the 27 magazine for carry.

If I were to get a Glock (which I don't see happening in the near future), a G19. Good gun, though I hate those stock Glock sights.

Well a better question would be which models don't I want. I am not interested in the .45 GAP cartridge at all. Also I don't think I would go with any of the sub-compacts either. Other than that I pretty much would like to have every model (although there is this thing called money).
I also would like to see Glock add some more calibers such as the 5.7 and the 7.62x25. Also maybe a magnum glock might be cool for calibers such as .357 and .44 mag. |

I've purchased, in order, a 19 Gen4, a used 26, a 23 rtf gillie, and a 27 Gen4. Turns out I like the .40's and shoot them well, so the 27 is what I carry most often and my 9mm's have currently been relegated to range duty.
I'll go ahead and make the assertion that Glocks are not soulless - the have the soul of a pragmatist - like me. They are reliable, durable, accurate, reasonably priced and reasonably easy to conceal. They're not for showing off, they're for self defense, and they excel in that area. One of these days, I'll probably own a SIG and a 1911 and a few others, just because they're cool - but Glocks will always be an excellent go-to pistol choice. (unless you just don't shoot well with them - in which case, enjoy your 1911, J-frame, M&P, CZ or whatever - and more power to ya!) |

IMO, the Glock 24 and some other of those freaky ugly guns should have not been made, and put something better in it's place. Glock is Glock, great guns, some people hate because of the grip or trigger. I find Glock to be a amazing gun, lots of LEO use them around here. Not that many moving parts to get jammed up. Great thing about them is you can share magazines with other guns(in the same caliber). |

glock
Was'nt really a Glock fan, but was issued a 32 during my Narc days. Got used to it and comfortable with it. Now I have the 19 and 36. The 19 is my HD gun and the 36 is my winter carry.
