Also, I have already considered changing my 300 win mag to 300 PRC. The Winchester also uses a barrel nut.

OPS question was 243 vs 6mm CM and reality is that its a wash.

You can get any twist barrel you want for a 243 as well, long throat and .......

6 CM may come with that, but 243 comes with what suits it for its deer hunting role as well.

A deer would never know the difference nor would 99.999% of the shooters (me included)

If you want to throw lead way out there target shooting then the 6 cm as it comes from the mfg has the better setup for that. Most would not be able to see it (me included)

RC20 is correct. Bambi, target, nor shooter will ever tell the difference.

Kilo, i wasn't talking about you. Lol
260 in a bolt gun will have a slight advantage. Again, bambi, target, shooter would never know the difference.
AR long range match shooting, results flip.
Though for the life of me, i don't know of anyone shooting an AR out to 1,000+ yards.
