Saboteurs?

You're driving home late at night as a result of your finishing work late tonight when you see a shadow under a bridge....pulling over, you see another figure near the water's edge.

You do not have your cellphone with you (battery died) and you do have your CCW.

You light them up with your highlights?

Take off to get the cavalry?

What do you do....?

Let's say you turn the lights off and ease the car to a vantage point to watch...they see you and try to connect what you believe to be the switch to set off whatever they taped to the pillars holding up the bridge....
Are we justified to shoot these.....saboteurs? or not?

What is your opinion?

If they kill you, you can't tell anyone. Turn around, and put your foot in it. A bridge can be rebuilt, and if they're poisoning a water supply, heck, if you've got warning, you can shut off the taps...

Many moons ago in various places I was taught that in case of a fire the first thing you are to do is NOTIFY SOMEONE ELSE. After you had done that you can play fireman and take other appropriate action.
In this scenario I would think that the same reasoning applies. Once proper authority is notified then your backup is on the way. If it is inocuous then no foul no harm. Most places and agencies have very good response planning and you will do more good by informing than by playing Rambo.

Get clear, call the authorities. Might just be a couple of bindlestiffs, or kids, or tourists.....or terrorists. Not your job to engage and you not going to be equiped to engage if they bad guys.

Sam.....always insure that you are at the right airport before cutting engines.
