Are there any Semi's left on the shelves?
Due to the recent circumstances I have found all local shops void of semi automatic rifles with the exception of an SKS here and there. Is it the same around you guys?

most centerfires are gone, there are big empty spots in all the gun shops where the AKs and Ars used to be. there are still plenty of semi auto 22lrs as well as a few remaining SKS an mini 14/30s and 1 ugly looking thing called a ljung man in 30-06 for an ungodly price but that's it.
223, 308, 5.45x39 and 7.62x39 ammo is gone, one of my LGS has 4 full pallets of 22lr ammo out on the floor to fill the empty space that used to be occupied by those cartridges.

My LGS is all .22's now as well, and people are oogling them as well. Luckily they just picked up another six boxes of PMags, so I might swing by again and pick up a couple more.
And I never thought I would say this, but if you're looking for an AR... Check California gun shops. Change out the bullet button and you're good to go.

The Dunham's Sports in my town is all out; the only semis they have are .22's. I bought a Century C15A1 there this week; it was the last true AR they had.

I've been to 3 local shops here and not a black rifle to be found. 223 ammo is also non existent, bulk or single boxes.

Finding most things AR at this point is the same as going to your Home Depot the day before a Hurricane and not finding any plywood, generators or batteries. I am more and more puzzled by people's surprise at the situation.

Wow I saw this coming for the last 4 years and took action. I have what I need and enough reloading components to last 10 years. The writing was on the wall the whole time this guy has been in office.
I also think the NRA should make Obama man of the year. Mr Obama has done more for gun sales than any other single person in history. Since taking office gun sales have been gone up every year. Then when he says anything about new gun laws or reinstating the AWB every gun store sells out. It will be months before the manufactures can catch up to demand and re stock stores.

Still a few ARs around here, but they've doubled in price since Monday. All the old stock sold out about Monday or Tuesday and the suppliers have jacked prices through the roof on anything ordered since then. One AR model was $700 Monday, Tuesday it was $850, Wednesday it went to $1100. That's dealer prices. I saw a Stag flat top carbine with fixed front sight and flip up rear sight for $1600 Friday. Walmart here still has some accessories but no ARs. They sold out Tuesday.
