Remington Converson

Anybody got one of the Remington factory converson that Taylor's or
Cimmoran sells? These are the ones with the loading gate for 45 Colt. I
been thinking about one in 5.5 inch barrel. Had a 8 inch barrel one in my hand
and the polish and blue were Super. This was the Taylor's. I think I would
rather have the 5 1/2 barrel. Anybody have one, and what do you think?
This the one I had in my hand.

I've got the 8' bbl model and wouldn't trade or sell it for nothin'. I did add a spur to the trigger guard because my second finger was getting pounded pretty good.

I just bought a BP 1858 from Midway. It came from Taylor's and is made by Uberti. The fit and finish are excellent on it .

I am also thinking about getting the conversion model and like you I havn't decided on a barrel lenght. I like the look of the 8" barrel but I would like to hold a 5 1/2" to see if I like the balance better.
