Well, welcome, neighbor!

I have two suggestions:

In the Capitol State Forest, there is a place known on Google maps as "Triangle Pit". It is off of Waddell Creek Road, there in Thurston Co. It is an "open shoot" area, and is quite nice. Absolutely no cover, though--go on a nice day, or prepare to get wet.

Another suggestion is to join the Grays Harbor Sportsman's Club. It's in Hoquiam--a bit of a drive, but well worth it. You have to go to a meeting to join--3rd Tuesday of every month. Indoor range, accessible to members 24/7, and an up to 300 yard rifle range.

There's also Evergreen Sportsman's Club, down in Littlerock. Nicest people you'd care to meet, very helpful, too. I teach classes down there. PM me for more.

Many state parks and national forests have outdoor ranges that are free of charge. Have you checked into that? Welcome to the site!
