My first IPSC practice

Went to the Capital City Gun Club in Topeka, KS.
So much to filter through:
Commands are straight forward

. Push the gun forward and acquire my sights while doing so. Properly hold the gun and drop the magazine(Let gravity help). Have magazines oriented in a consistent manner and draw them the same way.
I hit the targets, but didn't get a lot of the head shots, as they were mostly high torso and neck. I need to work on fixing the pushing the trigger and anticipating recoil.
It was 150 rounds... or so. Did a few different stages; double tap, triple tap, mag changes, shoot then move, and while moving. All in all it was awesome!
I get to see how well I do at the Shoot in Augusta, KS at the end of the month

Well... I've figured out how to drop the magazine and reload with speed . I'm still confounded on how to cup the trigger guard with my weak hand, but that might take actual live fire practice.
I think it's interesting, as it has shown me all the things I didn't bother practicing.

You don't cup the trigger guard. The thumb on your support hand points towards the target. The fingers on your support hand grip the fingers of your strong hand. Your support hand index finger should make contact with the bottom of the trigger guard

Thanks awlazs, I was having a difficult time figuring that out as what I was trying wasn't making any sense to me. What you posted is working for me

Here's a decent picture of the grip:

Although, the left - support hand should be a little more forward, with the fingers wrapped more around the fingers of the right hand.
The tip of the right thumb should be on the rear most joint of the left thumb.
Other wise it's a good pic.
