Questions regarding Sig M17 compatibility with 320 parts.

I have a chance to pick up a Sig 320 M17 for a fairly good price. I like the gun. The size and weight are good for me. The grip feels good in my hands. And the sights are my favorite type. So, I think I'm going to buy it.

What I'm wondering is whether or not the thumb safety makes the slide or the trigger group incompatible with any of the P320 frames or slides. I'll still more than likely buy it anyway because I like the gun overall just like it is. But I would like the option to go to a smaller frame and slide should the need arise.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
