Galil

Anyone have experience with the newer model Ace, in rifle size 7.62x39.

I went to the AK Files forum (not a member) and they do have a Galil section but didn't have much on Mag compatibility. I really want to know if there are any 20 round AK mags that are reliable in the Galil Ace.

Any other info would be helpful.

If steel Comblock AK mags are reliable in a Galil ACE (and all reports are that they are - since they are what the gun is supposedly designed around), I see no reason why 20-round Hungarian tanker mags would not be reliable.

Thanks Fishbed77...do you know if it is possible to find 20 round Hungarians, anymore?

Google search is your friend. It took 0.39 seconds to find this:

Unfortunately, they are not cheap these days. The Korean-made KCI 20-rd mags are more available and cheaper, but are suitable only for range use and malfunction drills.

Still Israeli made, and still expensive, just updated and imported anew.

.308 and 7.62X39, I haven't seen any .223 for sale, but I haven't been looking too closely either.

I have to wonder why there is no US made Galil clone while there are several jump into AK and some with milled receivers. Galil will get more interest and likely higher price. Century made one but discontinued. Even Century made was sold well!

Pretty sure the Century Galil (Golani) was made off a parts kit.
