i have a early sp101 with a four" barrel in .22 and its my go to revolver for fishing in the rivers, i wear it in a shoulder holster, i like it.

I also have an early SP101 .22 with 4 inch barrel. The double action trigger is some heavy, not terrible. That and the weight of the gun makes it a decent target shooter/trainer for other revolvers.
