Need Info!

Im looking to do a little bit fixing up work to a remington 722 I bought at a gun show a few months ago. It was rebarreled to a .250 Savage Ackley Improved before I got it. Ive got a couple of questions though.

1. Will a Remington 722 action fit in a modern Remington 700 Short Action Synthetic Stock? I am looking at getting a new synthetic stock off of ebay if the modern 700 stock will accept the 722 action.

2. The barrel that the rifle was rebarreled was either done by or the barrel came from Morris Precision. Has anyone ever heard of and/or could possibly give me any info on Morris Precision?

Thanks for any help,
Don
