300 rum

Can I use a rem700 7mag as a donor to build a 300 rum? Guy is selling rifle for cheap. I was going to build 338 but everyone finally got it across to me that it was just to much gun.

The 7 Rem Mag is 3.29" max length, standard system. The 300 RUM is 3.6", magnum system required. So that project is not going to work.

Remington use same action for 7mag/300RUM. Inside magazine length 3.700" and you can get after market magazine for the Rem action.

So that project is not going to work. __________________ I used to love being able to hit hard at 1000 yards. As I get older I find hitting a mini ram at 200 yards with the 22 oddly more satisfying.
