New threaded barrel on milspec 1911

It goes on, chambers and ejects the round, slide lock installs and works, slide goes all the way forward like it should, safety switches on and off like it should.
Everything works like it should but the barrel is so much tighter and it looks like it fits the barrel lugs) but might not be locking quite as deep into the slide as the sloppy, even the lugs are loose on the original barrel (and its still one hell of a shooter as loose as it is).
It looks like at least 75% as deep

If all the mentioned above works as it should, is it in batory enough to shoot?

You may want to use some layout dye( or a sharpie) and mark the lugs on the barrel. Assemble and rack the slide a few times. Should give you a good indication of how they are engaging.
If in doubt, take it to a professional.
