Anyone know what happened to SHOTGUNWORLD.COM?

The board has been off for two days...

Jay has been thinking about doing some updates on it. May be that is what is happening. Earlier this year, he switched out some servers and was down for a week. I miss that site but have this one to fill in while he does whatever to get back up.

Server problems. The new equipment has been hanging up, per Jay. Back up for the moment.

A shot of WD-40 and some duct tape has it going again. That is a new server, too. Jay does his best to keep it going while holding down a full time job. With some ads and a few bonus members that pay $20 a year, he keeps it going as best as he can.

sites like that are worth $20 a year to maintain stability. i need to check into that.

ita not so much that i mind it going down from time to time, but its worth it to keep the core group of people there. there seems to be fair amount of people over there with a substantial amount of knowledge and experience that are very willing to help people out.

That site has an enormous number of bonus and guest members (over 50,000)that is well worth the $20 a year. I like this site and use it often. For an unlimited number of experts that really know their business, I go both here and to SGW. Jay Gentry does not charge anyone anything but he has lots of expenses keeping up the servers and paying the IPS provider and it ain't cheap.

The ads pay some of it, the bonus members pay some of the expenses, but pay or not, anyone is welcome to post on SGW. He doesn't complain if you don't become a bonus member. I pay my dues every year but get no special treatment, just a banner indicating that I am a Bonus Member.
SGW is the most addictive site I've ever been on.
