Jim Dresslar article on Tansel horns
Here is a link to an article given by Jim Dresslar on the Tansel Family and their horns:
http://americansocietyofarmscollecto...0_Dressler.pdf Dresslar has that book on the American Engraved Powder Horn. It deserves a place on your shelf and I suspect it can be found cheaper elsewhere than Amazon. I met Dresslar and he's crossed the Styx. RIP.

I once met the gentleman and was privileged (along with two other guys) to spend an afternoon looking through his private collection which was astounding- dozens of early horns, rifles, smoothbores, knives, hunting pouches, war clubs, bowie knives, etc, etc. It was a real treat.
