My new 22/45 holster,,,
I made this for my Ruger 4.5" Slab-Side 22/45,,,
It's loosely patterned after the old M7 Tanker holster. Just thought I would share it. Aarond

Another masterful job Aarond, that's really sharp. What would it take to persuade you to make another? I have a friend with a new 22/45 would love that. I don't think his is slab-sided if it makes a difference.

Hello spacecoast,,,

Lots and lots of money! Honestly man,,, I have no idea how much I would need to charge. I still haven't made the strap assembly as yet,,, There is a fair amount of leather and hardware in that. It took me three days of watching DVD's to make this one,,, But there was a lot of pattern development going on in that time. I'm going to try and make another pattern for my 5.5" barrel slab-side model,,, You would think it would just need to make the holster an inch longer,,, But the front sight is much bigger on the 5.5" target model. What model & barrel length does your friend have? Aarond

I was originally thinking of a rig like the one from the movie The Shadow,,, But when I finally found a decent pic of it,,, I decided it was truly ugly. (insert barf icon here) I'll come up with something soon though,,, I can't dazzle anyone at the range with my shooting,,, So I have to rely on wearing wickedly cool rigs to get the ladies attention. very nice
Don't know how it would work for a slab side, but the regular ,45 flap holster works great on a std Mk I and II |
