Tasco Red Dot defective mount?

Hi Guys,
I was shooting my new Ruger 10/22 with a new Tasco Red Dot. I've had this red dot for a few years but have never mounted it on anything.

So after my range session (~300 rounds), I went home and noticed that the red dot was leaning to the right. I straightened the mount at home but can't help but notice that the clamps on the left side of the sight doesn't really engage the angled underside walls of my power custom weaver mount.

By contrast here is the right side of the mount.

So is this a defective clamp on this Red Dot and is this a known issue?

Asking your advise. Hoping Tasco has a fix for this simple issue.

Thanks in advance.
