Stocks for Marlin 795 or 60 (are they interchangeable?)

Can I purchase an old(er) Marlin 60 wooden stock and use it for my newer 795 after I take the carbon one off?

My 795 is a semi-automatic in case that isn't common knowledge.

I don't know but Boyd's has some nice stocks that would work.

No, they are not interchangeable. The 795 has a magazine well cutout on the bottom, the 60 does not; the 60 has a cutout for the tube magazine, the 795 does not need it. Could you fit it and make it work? Sure, but are you trained to do so and how much is your time worth? Buy a stock intended for your action.
