Swiss Army Knives
I've been a fan of Swiss Army knives for years and have a few that I carry on a daily basis. My Swiss Army Explorer is my favorite but the handle scales are getting a little loose. You used to be able to find replacement scales online but I'm not having luck finding any lately. I can find the usual replacement toothpicks and tweezers. Does anyone know of a source for replacement scales?

Since this is a gun forum I would suggest to go to http://www.sosakonline.com/index.php...tpage&Itemid=1 to see if anyone has any leads for you.

Begging pardon, but I know this is a gun forum. That is why I posted it in "gear and accessories". I've read quite a few listing here regarding carry knives and no one seems to have minded. Thanks for the link anyway.

While I may be stating the obvious have you contacted Victorinox directly? They have some information about repair and parts in their customer service section, but it might cost about as much as a new knife. I know there are folks that offer aftermarket scales, but cannot really remember any of the companies right now. I just bought a Swiss Army Compact which is a pretty good EDC if you want a full size.

If I were in your shoes, I would simply buy another one. They aren't very expensive.

Q. Can you send me scales?
A. No, we do not send scales but you can send your knife in to have the knife handles replaced free of charge. http://www.swissarmy.com/CustomerSer...ools.aspx?#150 |
