Cleaning old Bullets

Have hunted exclusively with recurves the last 20 years but now my kids want to try hunting with my renegade that has been in the safe for a while. I have several old boxes of Maxi-Hunters, Great Plains, and Buffalo Bullets that had be in a container in the garage. The lube has turned to dried crud. What is the best way to clean these so I can relube at the range and use these....Thanks

Soak them in mineral spirits...the old lube/wax will dissolve.

You could heat them in a toaster oven on "warm" ~200 degrees on a pan with a paper towel to absorb the lube then after cooling smear fresh lube in the grooves. Keep the oven real low so as to prevent fire.
