Whats your most accurate semiautomatic?
What is your most accurate semi? All included, pistol, intermediate, or highpower. And what do you bring it out for? Is it small game, large game, paper, cans, ect.? Im just curious.

A WW II bringback Walther Model 2, .22 rimfire. At around 40 yards, you'll get bored and quit before you hit outside a quarter coin.
My old weld-up Garand, with some match parts and glass-bedding will hold 1.5 MOA fairly reliably. My Colt AR is pretty much one MOA. |

Volquartsen Sniper 10/22.......w/Eley Tennex one hole groups at 100 yards.
Action and trigger work by Tom Volquartsen, features one of his air gauge match barrels. (Used for paper punching, shooting flies, and silhouette competition) Last edited by Rembrandt; May 1, 2012 at 09:53 PM. |

My most accurate semi's are an IZH-35M match pistol, an RRA Hardball Pistol built by Chuck Larson, and an AR-15 NM A2 also built by RRA. These are all for range use, and competitions.

The Bushmaster AR I let my older Son have. It has caused me a great amount of effort trying to obtain another AR with equal accuracy. Son called one day asking if I really knew what the rifle would do-well yes I did. He'd been shooting sparrows off his trash pile that I know for sure is 115 yards from his firing point.
You know how it is when you say "pick one" and they pick the absolute best of the litter? OUCH |

It's a toss up between my M1A Super Match or my White Oak Upper Service Rifle.
Both used in High Power Rifle.

Rembrandt - That is one beautiful rifle.
I've got a Ruger with a Volquartsen carbon fiber barrel and Volquartsen trigger group in a Hogue syn stock. It's cool, but nothing like yours. That is outstanding! |

My POF P-308 is a consistent 0.75 MOA (5 shot groups) performer, so for rifles it's my best semi-auto.
The most accurate semi-auto handgun I've owned believe it or not was a Glock 21SF. I've owned about a dozen Glocks, and that one was the only one that was what I consider exceptionally accurate. It really was amazing, and everybody who shot it thought so too.The stars must have been in perfect alignment when that one was put together. It's gone now, and the only thing that performs about as well for me is a Ruger MkIII Hunter with the 6-7/8" barrel. |

I have three semi-auto M14s that are sub MOA accurate and both of my Glock 21 pistols are also very accurate

I don't own any guns built for precision accuracy but the above AR build is my most accurate gun. It's mostly a PSA build with a 16'' heavy mid-length barrel. When I mound a 4x16 variable optic on it with some 75gr Hornady TAP rounds then thing drives tacks all day long.

m14, no kiddin
I've recieved an issue M14 from work, one of 9, that will stack factory Winchester 168 match into 1 MOA. The rifle itself is a Winchester, the trigger group is mixed, and was the best of the batch. Its only problem is a "wandering zero", which will float the point of impact around a bit, session to session. Glass bedding the fiberglass GI stock might fix that, but Uncle takes a dim view of me plumbing his rifle.
The rifles intended purpose and target is feral/wild hogs. |

Marlin 795. I have no idea what it will do off of a bench, since I don't have one, but leaned over the hood of my truck, I can get just under 1/2 inch at 50 yards. So far just for punching paper, but looking forward to putting some bunnies in the pot with it come September.

Gotta be my Colt match target
but truth be told, all my rifles have the same accuracy when I shoot them. I'm not good enough to let the precision of the rifle come through on purpose |
