I must admit I also find an I fluted cylinder to be somewhat striking. It can take a gun that already says "all business" and make it even meaner. At least from an apprearance standpoint.
I do think they tend to look better on stainless guns, even though I typically prefer blued. Of course the only revolver I own with an unfluted cylinder is this Uberti 1860 Army clone, which kind of negates my silly "stainless" argument above. |

Thanks. That's the small frame model 97. They make it in .22, .357, .44 spl, 45 Colt.
They do make the large frame model 83 in .44 Rem mag. |
