.357 mag spitzer bullets?

Just for giggles, and because I like weird things, I'm looking for some light spitzer bullets to load for a .357 mag.

I've found some rifle bullets that are .358 in diameter but the lightest I’ve found is 180 grains. I just want to know if anyone here has ever loaded .357 mag with spitzer bullets and where I could fine some light ones.

at one time one of the bullets used in the 35 Remington was a 150 grain pointed soft point and loaded by Remington. it was .358 diameter and I tried some in a TC super 14 in 357 max. they didn't shoot all that well. this has been a long time ago and I got them through Midway USA. I don't know if the bullet is available anymore or if Remington even makes it anymore. depending upon the length of the cylinder the oal might be too long also.

You can get the Hornady Flextip bullet in 357. They have the plastic tip.

with the flextip bullet you will again have to worry about oal length. Hornady brass is about .060 shorter so they could get the oal length of a loaded round. it is going to depend up on what gun you choose to shoot them in
