Remington 1100 12ga from gunbroker

I won it yesterday for $389. It was advertised as New old stock, and appears to have not been shot, still in box in fact. It's the black synthetic with vented rib 28" barrel. I can't seem to find the synthetic ones on the boards anywhere, is there a reason? I like the look and hope I did well with the price. Opinions?

That's a good price for an 1100, no matter what stock it's got. Keep it clean and it will shoot thousands of rounds.

That's what I paid for mine new in 1981. I took the wood furniture off because I was tearing it up Chukar hunting. I put a black Ramline stock and foregrip and a 26" barrel with Remchokes. It has not once ever misfired on me...

I own one with synthetic stocks, it's an Express version, and think it's an excellent shotgun. Never a hiccup in 6 years. I would rather it had a 3" chamber but other than that, no complaints.

Five or so years ago Wal-Mart cleared them out for $328 - that's what I paid anyway and it was a steal. At the time a local gun shop was getting $450 for them.

Here's one on gunsamerica $495.95.
