Gun Safe reupholstery

I need to rearrange the interior of my gun safe. I was planning on using 1"x lumber for shelves and structure, then covering the lumber with some fabric. It seems that carpet, even the thinnest of indoor-outdoor would be thicker than I want.

What type of fabric do you recommend?

Go to a fabric store they have some real havy felt that can be used as well as many other materials. I have a older safe, back when they use carpeting in them and plan on redoing mine. I will use 1/2" plywood for all the shelves and dividers, and my shelves will be adjustable. You want to buy some 3M Spray 77 or Spray 90 for adhereing the fabric to the wood and then staple underneath. PM me with any ?

By the title, I thought you meant chairs and car seats.

Hornet, that's exactly what I was looking for. Thank you.

Felt sounds right.

Hmmm... 1/2" plywood is probably a better deal than 1/2" shelving, but I guess I can mix and match to suit my designs.
