Good Mags for a Sig

I am in need of some magazines for a SIG 226 & 246. Factory ones are a bit pricey. Anyone know of good mags and good prices?
ANyone have any experience with promags? I see them at about 1/2 the price of factory ones.

Mec-gar is an excellent magazine company, check them out here:

Promag is so-so. Some people have problems with the mags. You get what you pay for. You could use Promag for range magazines, but I would never carry a Promag or rely on it for home defense.

Here is some Mec-Gar Magazines. I agree with C Phillip about the Promags. They have seem to have mixed reviews.

Mec-Gar it is then,

Thansk Guys, I will check them out. The SIG 226 is a range gun (just got it yesterday) but the 245 is a home defence gun. Thanks for the help.

Mec-Gar is the OEM for SIG. If you buy there mags, you are getting SIG

mags for 1/2 the cost. With they still sold them for the 220's.

Mec-gar/Promag

I only carry Factory, Mec-gar (OEM supplier to Sig) or Promag. I have the 8 rd .45 mags for my 220 and I have never had a problem. I have taken my 220 with the Promag's out snoeshoeing overnight in below zero conditions! I trust them completely! Hope this helps.

Where to buy online

This helps a lot folks. Where is the best place to buy online? I am looking for a one stop shop for:
1) Fobus paddle holsters for sig 226
2) Fobus mag pouch for sig 226
3) Mec-Gar 15 or 17 rd mags for sig 226

I found a place called AJAZ Custom grips that has them all but not sure if they are any good.

How do you buy from Mec-Gar?

I went to the Mec-Gar website. It said that to order I have to call. So I called. Tried early in the evening on the East Coast, then a couple times during the day. No luck.

Do you have to go through a dealer to order from them?

I found that CDNN usually has some of those mags as well as refurbed factory mags. Try www.cdnninvestments.com and look for them.
