Say, did I tell you about my new Chevy Corvette? The emblem on the trunk says Cavalier, but I'm pretty sure it's a Corvette. It's easy to get these things mixed up sometimes. |

OK to actually answer the poor (abbereviated) guy's question, it would be a toss-up between my CMP Garand, DSA StG and Pedersoli Sharps.
FF-ha! My problem is I know EXACTLY how many guns I have. 19 rifles , 4 shotguns , 9 handguns. I look at that and think "how could I want any more?" But I do...here's the short list of stuff on my wish list: · AK (Romanian SAR-2?), pre-ban, 7.62x39mm · Mauser 98K, 8x57mm · Swedish Mauser M96, 6.5x55mm · Springfield XD-40, .40 S&W · Sig P220, .45 ACP · DSA FAL Para folder, 7.62x51mm · 10mm Witness conversion kit · Taurus 450 Ultra-Lite .45 Colt · Marlin Camp Carbine .45 ACP, red dot scope, hi-cap mags, synthetic stock · Marlin 1895SS Guide Gun .45-70 Gov't · Beretta 686/687 Silver Pigeon - or - Ruger Red Label engraved - or - Browning 525 Sporting 12 ga · Ruger M77 - or - Remington 700 CDL - or - Savage 116FSAK, 7mm Rem Mag · Colt or S&W 1917 .45 ACP · Colt Python, Royal Blue, 6" bbl, .357 Mag · Browning 1919, .30-06 · Win 1895 .405 Win -or- .30-06 -or- .35 Whelen · Thompson M1927A1, .45 ACP · Beretta Storm CX4, .45 ACP (when the make one) · .45 upper for AR · Ruger 10/22 Target, .22 LR, blued, bi-pod, trigger work, hi-mag scope, 2 extra mags · M1919A4, 7.62x51mm · PTR-91, 7.62x51mm · Nagant M95, 7.62 Nagant · Navy Arms Win 73 .44-40 · Walther TPH .22 LR · CZ52, 7.62x25mm · Henry youth lever .22 LR rifle -- or -- Chipmunk .22 LR rifle - or - Savage Youth .22 LR · Remington 870 Express Youth 20 ga shotgun

Kris Rich, you have to many obvious glaring holes in your collection! For example, you list a 1919 in .30-06 and a 1919A4 in 7.62x51, but no M1919A6. When Meatloaf wrote the song "Two out of Three Ain't bad, he wasn't speaking about firearms.
Show this post to your boss or biggest customer and tell him I (everyone)said you need an immediate raise and a hefty bonus, and time off to build your collection up to an unembarassing level:-) Also show this post to your wife or significant other, and let her know this is one of those crisis moments where her true mettle will be judged as to how she supports you in getting through these dark times. Does anyone else need a post from an objective, disinterested bystander to give validation to a firearms shopping spree? On a more serious note, how would you compare your 1927A1 to the Beretta Storm? I have a friend who wants a .45 ACP carbine, and these seem to be the only two I can think of that are in production. |

artsmom -- I like the way you think!!
Oh, those are just my wish list items, though, so I can't compare the Thompson. But I think you're right on those being about the only obvious semi auto carbines out there, except for the HK USC. Maybe if you stretch the definition the Mech Tech carbine conversion. I've shot all of them except for the Storm. On paper I like the Storm the best with the exception of available high cap -- well, standard really -- mags. (e.g., 20+). Current Stuff I own:
Ruger 10/22 Ruger Super Blackhawk Henry Goldenboy .22 Smith and Wesson K-38 Combat Masterpiece Winchester Model 1300 Defender Colt Official Police Future Items that I plan on purchasing, in order: 2x 95% Chinese Type 56's w/ 'toad sticker' bayonets Smith and Wesson Model 469 9mm For the most part I stick with either Remmington or UMC ammunition, but for the Super Blackhawk, I get whatever I can find for dirt cheap, usually Maine Cartridge Co., which is decent I might add(though, they are lead wadcutters...). Couple times I've bought this European brand shotgun shells, and been impressed.. but I can't remember what brand

Kris....Man.......I bow to you........
Actually the question was gun not guns so I won't embarass myself especially after iamkris's post .......I'll just list one and all around it's probably my favorite. It's the one that's with me wherever I go. Remington 722 in .222 Rem. It has a 700 varmint barrell rechambered from .223 so it has a little more twist and shoots 55gn. Sierra BTHP's very well. It's been glassed and floated and has a solid follower so it's a single shot.I have an old Weaver 3-9X40 on it and it always hits where I'm holding it when I squeeze the 2lb. trigger. Crows don't stand a chance. It's a nice piece. Also have great confidence when still hunting whitetails at moderate ranges(Not recommended).I usually carry more gun with me for that but a well placed head or neck shot and ole nannys go down in their tracks. |

Yeah, I don't own any gunz either, but if I did, my fun gun would be a Rem. 504, .22LR that I'd pillar bedded and free-floated, sporting a 4-14X scope. It would average under .290" at 50 yards from the bench with good ammo.
The stock would be beautifully grained and finished, the action would be buttery smooth. The trigger would adjust down to about 2 lbs and be silky. The rifle would feel exactly like the Rem 700s that I also don't own. I'd be shooting the best offhand groups ever and be having the time of my life with that beauty. Too bad I don't own any gunz. As far as quantity of guns go, I would gladly trade half of mine for more range time. (Lots more range time.)

First Freedom:
Yeah, and if I really owned it, I'd have to join a club, learn how to shoot, get a great benchrest setup, carry all that stuff to the car, unload it at the range, test all kinds of ammo, load it back up, get home, put it all away...man that's too much like work. I don't know why all you guys work so hard in the name of fun. John |

someday
i have promised myself that someday i will own an M1 Garand or an M1A. if its an M1A its gonna be a loaded one with a big ol scope sittin up top.
i also told myself that i will own an AR with a 20 inch barrel and another big ol scope sittin up top but this one will be next to impossible to get. (insert rant about gun control and liberals here) |

My M4 & Beretta 87 with hunting gear
I use it for hunting, range fun, and home defence. In the 87 i only use CCI stingers. And the M4 I use M193.

I dont want to embarrass myself, but...
I'd have to say that my favorite plinking gun is my Ruger 10/22. Bone stock except for a 3-9x40 Simmons scope for 100 yd shots. For something with a bit more oompf, my Mosin Nagant 91/30. Both cheap and fun.

I purchased a carbine Kit for my Beretta U-22 NEOS,,,
I own two single-shot 22 rifles,,,
I also own two bolt-action repeaters in .22,,, My only semi-auto in .22 LR was a Mossberg 702 plinkster. Then just for the heck of it I purchased a carbine kit for my NEOS pistol,,, I mounted an inexpensive red-dot scope on the carbine,,, Now, for pure fun, it's my go-to rifle for range play. It's plenty accurate at 50 yards,,, So I use it for tin can hunting,,, Or to roll sand-filled bottles. For precision accuracy it's the worst of my rifles,,, But for a good fun time at the range,,, It's the best range toy I have. It's also a great rifle for small children,,, My friends 9 year old thinks I bought it just for her. Aarond .

Right now Im enjoying my latest acquisitions.
Remington 510 Targetmaster Remington 512 Sportmaster One I traded a spoterized but good shooting Mosin Nagant for. The other I traded some .223 ammo for. Both are good shooters but the targetmaster has been very well taken care of and is in very nice original shape. They both shoot mini mag very well which is awesome because I have right at 4,000rds of it |
