BerdanSS- yes sir, she shoots well. Haven't shot much with it over the summer time. Next month I will be shooting it again. Like I said I'm surprised by the accuracy that she has. And I must thank you for the load info. Some people knock CVA branded guns, yes they are inexpensive, but some are just great shooters. I own a Hunter Bolt .50 that can not touch the Bobcat in accuracy. I'm over the inline thing anyway. IMHO the Bobcat is a cheap gun worth shooting.

Hey Beagle, if you want to make a cheap smooth bore truck gun...I got a wood stocked .54 caliber deer hunter R I'd let go of. It doesnt have any sights on it, and that front sight hole is begging for a shotgun bead

Thanks BerdanSS, but I will pass on that, because I do already have a .56 Renegade smoothie. I got this ol' Bobcat cleaned up about as good as I could, and while it might make a good shooter... I didn't need another one. I just felt sorry for it and wanted to restore it to operable. I'm pretty sure it'll sling a ball now. I don't know how well, but it should definitely make some smoke, the barrel is de-rusted as best I could get, and all channels are clear .... well, pretty clear. I just wanted it to be functional. I got it all sloppy with CLP now and am gonna let Mom hang it over the fireplace, like she wanted to.

Maybe one day (far away)..... when it becomes an heirloom, I'll make a smoothie out of it.
