Anschutz

First, I'm a new member so I'm not sure I'm in the right forum. I just bought an Anschutz 1730 in 22 hornet, ¾" groups at 100x. Very pleased. Does anyone have any idea what is the approximate year of manufacture. Serial # 1,345,xxx.
Nothing on barrel or action, Thks.

I have no clue how the non target rifles are marked by anschutz but if I am remembering correctly from my times of competition target rifle shooting with them 1958 to 1967 have a proof mark and 2 numbers on the barrel the numbers are the last 2 digits of the year of manufacture. from 1968 0n the proof mark is accompanied by 2 letters A=0, B=1, C=2, D=3, E=4, F=5, G=6, H=7, I orJ=8, K=9 so AF is 05 or 2005. If you can find an anschutz sight they may have information that isn't based on 20 year old recollection.
