shooting apparel: coats
Whats the best coat (not jacket) for shooting trap & skeet. Want something for cold winter days that allows good freedom of movement, is light, warm, waterproof and doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

I swear by my M-65 Field Jacket. I've only used it shooting once - do most of my shooting on an indoor range - and it kept me warm and dry on a rainy North Carolina fall day. I did have to remove it once the weather heated up some, though.
I think it'll hit all of your listed points, I'm very satisfied with mine and wear it often. edit: Aaaaand go figure, I missed your 'coat' emphasis until after I'd posted. Mine is large enough to reach below my waist, so it arguably counts. |
