J&R M-68 9mm Carbine

Hello,
I own a J&R M-68 9mm Carbine. It's a solid, well built gun with one weak link: the disconnector. The spring seems weak and I often have to fiddle with the trigger to reengage the sear. Any ideas on how to make the trigger mechanism more reliable?
