Loads for 30-06 using Speer Target Match 168gr and IMR4198/3031/4350?

Hey guys so im getting ready to make some loads in 30-06 using some powder that was given to me (1 lb each of IMR 4198/3031/4350) and I acquired some Speer Target Match 168grain BTHP. I just wanted to see if anyone has any decent target loads for any of these powders with this bullet? If you can, please include COL as well so I know that the seating is correct with I caliper it. Thanks so much! Im shooting a Remington Bolt gun using once fired federal brass and winchester large rifle primers.

Consult the Speer manual, and mail the 4350 to me.

3031's the best of those for best accuracy.

4350's the best for highest muzzle velocity

4198's the best for reduced loads.

Consult reliable reloading data for charge weights.

Fifty five grains of IMR/AA or H4350 with a 168 or 175 is an excellent target load in a 30-06 bolt gun. I have shot ammunition cans of the stuff out to 600 yards and shot HM scores with that load. The differences between brands of 4350 is slight, if you were developing a maximum load then you would have to pay attention to the lot to lot differences, but at this load level, pushing a bullet just at 2700 fps, that is probably below 50,000 psia with every brand of 4350.

For future reference, if you ever plan to shoot this in a Garand, this powder is not appropriate for use in a Garand. Port pressures would be too high. IMR 3031 has an appropriate curve for a gas gun it will also shoot very well in the 30-06 with a 168.
