Video - Loading black powder .44-40 on a Dillon 550B

This is the companion video to my up coming black powder column in the Fall issue of "Guns of the Old West" magazine.

As the title said, it is about black powder .44-40s loaded on a Dillon.

Well done. Hadn't considered using scoops and a drop tube on a Dillon. Since most measures aren't compatible with BP I never considered loading a BP cartridge on a 550. Silly me.

Several sharp observers have pointed out that at 3:18 into the video, I failed to drop a powder charge.

Good catch!

I noticed it right away and dropped a charge off camera so as not to slow up the video.

One great thing about black powder is that it is easy to see if you missed the powder, and double charges are never an issue...they would just spill out of the case.
