Homemade Wet Tumbling with Stainless Made Simple and Cheap
What if wet tumbling with stainless with a homemade tool could be more efficient than a Thumlers, and so easy to make that anyone can do it in one weekend for less than $50
I saw this on AR15.com and I'm thinking it would be dumb not to make one. Super simple homemade bling maker. Rare earth magnets and magnetic stainless steel media. Cool! Who'd a thought! |

Amazing how fast it is. Looks like 15 minutes will do what 2 hours in a rotary tumbler will. I wonder how long the plastic tubs last with the pins spinning in them?

Looks like a great idea. I'd try it if I didn't already have a Thumler.

I already have a Thumlers too, but this is so darned simple!..... and I often wish I had two or three Thumlers (for different calibers or even head stamps to keep from having to sort them again).
I'm thinking how simple it'd be to mix up a batch and have it sitting on deck for the next run. Know how expensive a spare Thumlers barrel is? Expensive enough that I was thinking about trying to convert one of those big protein powder bottles to use on the Thumlers! They fit perfect....they just don't have tumbling veins inside. How long will the tubs last? That's the question isn't it......maybe not so important if you can find usable tubs at a dollar store. |
