The new Geovids rock.

I own a pair of 10x42 Ultravids, and a LRF1200. The new Geovids combine both into one unit, albiet at the sum of their individual prices.

If you want an excellent rangefinder integral with best in class binoculars and can afford them, they are definitely the way to go.

Another option is to go to a pair of Steiner Binos and opt for a model with a range finding recticle- they work remarkably well although you don't get an electric read.

Handwerk,
I prefer separate binoculars and rangefinders. Don't like the size and feel (ergonomics?) of the combined instrument. I use Leica 8x32, 10x32, and 10x42 Trinovid binoculars and the Leica LRF800 rangefinder. Find that I use the binoculars way more than the rangefinder. The binoculars are fantastic!

No experince with the Geovids, but I do have a pair of Trinovids. LOVE the pair (8x32BN).

Superb bit of kit.

Expensive bit of kit.

Played with some, would be seriously tempted to actually part with cash if I accidentally destroy my current binos. For the moment working with separate binos and Leica LRF900.
