Clay Dot has become my favorite pistol powder.

I don't reload shotgun, just pistol and rifle, but this shortage has opened my options and thus I have found a new favorite. I have tried this powder in 9mm, 380, and 40. It's the softest recoiling, cleanest burning, most accurate, and most economical powder I own. At $17.99/lb and roughly 3.5 grains for a standard 9mm load, a little goes a long way. I'm not sure what else you can ask out of a powder. It meters great too despite being a disc powder. And it's easy to tell from others because of the Orange dots in the powder.

Love it Just thought I'd share.

I've been loading .40 with it for punching paper. It also works well for .45acp target loads.
When my clays runs out I'll probably use it for 9mm.

Welcome to the club. I am using C/D in all my 40 loads that used to have Clays in them. Same soft recoil, lower cost and a tad more accurate. Looks like the component shortage has taught some new tricks to some old dogs. Enjoy and safe shooting
