Your experience with the P220 stainless with internal extractor

I own 4 P220 Carry's with the internal extractor. Well, three and a Compact.

One gun had a few (like 3) issues with last round feeding during break in. Another had, as I recall, only one FTF, with the last rd. not coming up all the way under the extractor.

There have been no problems since with those, and the other two never had any to begin with , but I know others have had some issues.

Now that the P220 is out with the external extractor, I'm hearing a lot of criticism of the internal design.

For the record, my antiquated P220 American with internal extractor, breach block, folded slide, etc. has been flawless for as long as I've had it, but it's not the issue.

I won't do a poll, but I'd appreciate comments from those of you who have experience with the P220 with one piece stainless slide, internal extractor.

If you had issues, how'd you solve it? Did you just break it in, send to SIG, use it as a paperweight, etc.?

I bought a Sig 220ST new in 2005 with the internal extractor. It now has 4110 trouble free rounds through it. Like most of my sigs it has proven reliable, accurate and fun to shoot.
