Prometheus powder dispenser

Hi. I have read about a "Prometheous" brand powder dispenser. Are these still for sale somewhere? I would like to get one for a fanatical hand loader for Christmas.

Must be a real good friend - they sold for $1,200. I have heard rumors about a new and improved model in the works with a rumored price of around $2,000. The website, , appears to be down. An email address for the owner, Brand Cole, is [email protected].

I called and talked to Brand. He quoated me $2850 for the new Prometheus. Out of my price range, but it sounded interesting for those with unlimited funds. Besides the extreme accuracy (more than enough in my opinion) he also mentioned the improvements to the powder charging process, which cuts down on time spent loading. If someone wanted to go into the handloading of accurate cartridges for others, this may be a good investment.

I fully concur.

Such accuracy of powder charges is largely pointless...perhaps totally so! Minute variations in primers and cases over-ride any such tiny powder charge differences. There are many much more important things to attend to for high accuracy than simply weighing powder to a hunderedth of a gnats azz. IMHO.

most of the benchrest shooters i see use powder thrower and i know they are not 100% so i dont think that one or two kernells of powder will make that much difference. i know it doesnt in my shooting.
