Loaded Mags Sticking in Beretta 92X

I bought three beretta 17 round mags with the 92X (I checked and they say pb on the side) and firstly I can only fit 16 rounds in them but secondly when it has 16 rounds in the mag, it gets stuck and I can’t release the mag without prying it out. It doesn’t do this with 15 rounds however so do I just have to stick with a 15 round mag? I’ve lubed the mag and the mag catch and it helped a bit but not enough, they still stick

Edit: I don’t mean a 15 round mag I mean 15 rounds in the 17 round mag

That's a bad break. You would think that after the 92 series has been in production since 1976 , all (manufacturing of berettas pistols) areas could be addressed with near perfect precision.

I have a vintage 92 SB ... It takes Mec Gar 20 rd. Mags. Loaded to the max and one in the pipe (21 rds) runs like a no problemo Champ.

Couple things.

-disassemble the mags. Make sure they are clean and have the springs/follower oriented correctly.

-Many magazines when new require a bit of effort to load the last round or two when new.

-When you say pry out do you LITERALLY mean stuck as in requires actual FORCE to pry out or simply mean there is some kind of friction that is just enough to not allow dropping free when loaded and a little tug overcomes it.

Simplest thing to check,and often the culprit,is your grip screws.
If they are a touch too long or perhaps overtightened,the tips can drag on the mag.

Buy an Uplula to load the mags. Many new mags are hard to load the last rounds and my old thumbs aren't getting any stronger. After a few loading and unloading cycles they often loosen up.
